For the true automotive enthusiast, the Michelin booth at SEMA was the Holy Grail. Featuring an impressive collection of exotic cars including: a Bugatti Veyron, a Caparo T1, a Fisker Tramonto, a Koenigsegg CCX, a McLaren F1 LM, a Pagani Zonda S, a Ruf Rt 12, and a Saleen S7. With all of these manufacturers specified to Michelin Wheels, one would truly understand why they are regarded as simply the best tire manufacturer, period. Tasked with the impossible, Michelin’s Marketing Manager, Oscar F. Pereda made this significant display possible through his valuable relationships forged with the esteemed owners of this group of super cars. The display, which intended to feature the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires, was by far the best at the show and further emphasized Michelin’s dominance in the super car tire segment. Oscar also took us around and showed us some Audi’s (The R8 includes a special edition that you must see), Porsche’s and Corvettes. Oscar announced that he is making run-flats for the C5and C6 Vette’s. They also had a simulator running PRG4 and showcased real F1 drivers competing. Michelin figures prominently in the game, as they sponsored a trial course.
